Yes it has a 400 small block out of a 73 chevelle along with a 3 speed auto transmission both are rebuilt only has 1000 miles on both, has new rear differential, tires, and American racing rims, interior has aftermarket wood stained steering wheel and tax, new refurbished seat has all original paint in the cab along with original am radio the guy who had it painted it with ford tractor blue paint so I'm going to sand it down and repaint it a different color since its chipped in a few spot and I need to put nee weather stripping on the doors

You can add pictures and images to your posts too Tim .

Three decades ago I ran a VW Shop and my tow truck was a '55 Chevy with a 235 , SM420 tranny and Murphy plate instead of slings on the hoist .
Battered beyond belief , I'm sure it was scrapped shortly after I sold the shop in 1984 (IIRC) but I'd rebuilt the 235 and it ran strong , very strong .
I miss that old rig badly all these years later .

Task Force GM trucks were and are , great ~ sturdy and good looking with roomy , well ventilated cabs , close turning ratios and always ready to work , work and work some more .

Welcome. These guys are a valuable source of information and I highly suggest asking lots of questions. You may get 15 different answers, but you need to decide what will work for your plans. If it can be done, someone on here probably already has done it. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks rusty I'm sure I'll be asking plenty of questions especially when it comes time for paint never actually painted before but I have rebuilt engines and done body work but never before paint I've been thinking of what colors would look good on it today I'd like to do a two tone on it

Nate I met a man here while back at WalMart I came out and he was looking over my truck and had told me that he is currently restoring a 1955 Chevy tow truck
