So men here is the cream of the crop (for me) we bought a 1989 ck1500 as a donor truck for $500. got a great 5.7 L for my dad, and i got a 3:42 limited slip rear end, so i gave my dad the TH400 and got a 700R4. We sold off the scrap and some parts and made all our money back.

I don't know what friction plates are. My dad is a life long GM man and he said its all good.

Going to Georgetown today to get a set of 2004 Tahoe bucket seats for my truck only $60. Seat belts are built in the seats. super nice
