One of the guys over on OldGMCtrucks posted a link to the
    http://www.gmpartswiki.com/browse
I haven't quite figured out how to use it, but it appears to be a great resource.

I clicked on the GMC book. When it opened, there is a small detailed page at the top right corner that I clicked on. That took me to the next page. Keep doing that to go through the book?

I agree it isn't the best. But text is "searchable". Using 50 GMC Master Parts Book as the target and looking for a bearing, start here:
    http://www.gmpartswiki.com/query
    then fill in
    Query String bearing
    Book Type Parts Catalog
Single Book December 1950 Parts Book X-151004
    Books Covering GMC
    Books Covering GMC Light Truck
    Books Covering Any Year
    and push the search button
