Hello everyone I'm new to the Classic Parts Forum. My name is Greg and I live in Dallas Ga. I have posted three item for sale but have not introduced myself. The truck in the pictures below is a 1965 c-10 that I have owned since I was sixteen(21 years). We started restoring it a few years ago but because of relocating it has been but on hold until now. The suspension is from Early Classic which is a four inch front and six inch rear drop with front disc brakes. For motivation it has a 406 c.i. engine, 700r4 transmission, and 3.73 posi rear end. The engine was not a wise decision with the price of gas. The body should be blasted within a few weeks. I look forward to talking to some people that are as interested in these trucks as I am.

I have been crazy about these old Chevy's for a long while (every since the 60's) but haven't owned a 60-66 Chevy till now. Mine is a big heavy tall somewhat clunky 3/4 ton 4x4 with 7600 gross rating, manual steering, not the best candidate for doing much to it other then keeping it up as a work truck. I would really like to build up something similar to yours for daily transportation. Maybe with a 6 or 283 and some taller gears for fuel economy. I live in big snow country and have to bust snow drifts to get to town sometimes so will always need my chained up K-20 but for most other driving I am seriously getting the urge to do what you are doing.
Welcome to the board. Like your choice of wheels, those are nice. Keep up the good work and keep in mind, even with higher gas prices, that 406 will be a BLAST at WOT.
