I have just recently had a 1952 gmc 1/2 ton given to me by my father in law. trying to change out the rims and tires on it to be a little more road worthy than the skinny stock tires on it. Its a 6 lug, just wondering what the lug pattern is so i can start looking for rims, also i have read that a 205/75-16 is the equivelant tire for todays modern sizing

The wheels on 1/2 ton Chevy/GMC pickups were the same six lug pattern up through 1970. Most were 15 inch wheels but they had some 16" and even some 16.5 IIRC. Someone can tell you about the Colorado/Canyon wheels which are six lug but may have a metric bolt pattern. Many of the earlier Jap trucks: Nissan, LUV (Isusu), Mitsibishi, and Toyota 4WD had the same 6 lug pattern but many were 14". Just about all the older six lug wheels were on the same bolt circle and would interchange.

Most all 6 lug rims except the Dakotas should fit.
