No A/C

I have a 99 Chevy Tahoe with no A/C. I've checked the relay, fuses and pressure but the compressor will not come on. I have 12VDC going into the back of the compressor. I jumped out what I thought was the low pressure switch (located on top of the compressor at the low pressure hose). Is this correct? The clutch will not engage. Any tips?
