ok i got my 454 block today or so it was told it was 454. i knwo its a bbc. Can anyone tell me about the bock, crank, or heads? well the back of the block behind the drives side head # is 3999289. on the back of the block is says hi per pass and below that is says F8. on the crank the # is 9N and C244 i couldn't read teh other number. on one head it says it is a truck head and the #'s are 3933148, GM4T, on the bottom it says MTRUCK,148,4. One the other head the #'s are GMOT or GM0T,336781,28 74,on the back it says pass,781,and 10. if anyone can tell me anything or anywhere to find about the numbers it woudl be greatly appreiciated.

Sorry I gave you the wrong address, it should be www.mortec.com they have all types of info on chevy casting and serial numbers.:-)
 
thanks for the help. but i recently got a running bbc and i'm takeing the bbc that is in parts back to the guy.
