My friend is trying to swap a newer NV3500 5-speed into his '66 long step-side 292. Everything seems to go together but he is having a time finding a starter for the application. Has anyone here attempted this swap? I swapped in a t-5 in mine some years back but this seems to be a different animal. Any advice/suggestions/info would be greatly appreciated.
