    Can anyone direct me to a reliable odometer repair shop? It does not register at all and, I am not sure if these two problems are connected, but the speedometer "bounces".

    It can also mean loose cable connection at the speedo or trans.

    Mine was bouncing so I remove it and took it to a local speedo shop, 98 dollars later it was no longer bouncing but still making a clicking sound. I bought a new cable and housing, but the click is still there. Not sure what my point is:eek:
    just thought I would throw in my 2 pennies:D

    bouncy needle

    Bouncy needle= the cable is connected, if imperfectly
    No odometer movement= the speedo is broken

    Solution=repair speedo and replace cable
