    Hi all,

I have just noticed the engine oil dip stick for my engine could be off. When oil dip stick is all the way the oil reads full(that is when the finger loop touchs the round cap pushed in to where it can go no more). However there are two little nipples three inches from loop. If you push the little spacer down between them It reads on the add oil level..? Now I know I have over 4 qts of oil in the truck. Where shoud it be?

PS here are a few pics of the finished truck. I modified the 283 with a 1299dual quad set up with the 9:5:1 . Its fun to drive with three on the tree.

have you considered the possibility that you have the wrong dipstick?

Beautiful truck, very sanitary work and faithfull to the original. It is unusual in that it has the big rear glass but with no stainless window trim and painted grill, bumpers, and headlight doors. I did a 59 that was optioned the same way but it is unusual. Guess they just wanted a truck with good rear vision. At least it's not the usual cookie cutter type. A gem.
