I am trying to locate a replica or original oil filter housing assembly. I know we can get the beehive style from our host but I am looking for the original canister style. Any suggestions?

I have checked LMC, Jim Carters, and of course our host. Can't seem to find it anywhere. People have said to find one at a swap meet but I don't have that kind of time or patience. The engine is all rebuilt and this is one of the last things I need to put it on the dyno.

    ?? they're not all over Flea-Bay ?? .

Maybe The Truck Shop in Orange , Ca. on Batavia ? .

I can rustle one up for you but it shouldn't be stoppng you from engine breakin , much more important is adding a magnet in the sump , either magnetic drain plug or a cow magnet from the feed store , just drop it into the sump before buttoning it up .

Remember : proper engine breakin for maximum power and engine life , is achieved within the first 60 seconds of initial startup of your fresh engine so tune it carefully cold , have at it then you can go back and fine tune it after it's cooled off again .

I hope you remembered to windex the cylinders with white paper towels to ensure zero swarf then assembled the engne with 100 % dry pistons & cyclinders .
