oil pan

    can someone tell me if an oil pan off a 235 ingine 1958 chev biscayne will be the same as my oil pan which is a 235 ingine 1950 chev half ton pickup thanks

    IIRC 1950 pickup trucks came with a 216, not a 235. That would make your engine a later engine. Check the numbers on it and run them. don't know if the oil pan will fit or not though.

    from 54 to 62 and some 63 the 235 was the same. pan should work i would think

    Not all 235's were created equal

    You need to determine if you have an early model 235 or a later model full pressure 235 because they will be different.

    I seem to recall that someone here had a problem finding the correct oil pan gasket for his 235 and it was determined that he had a later model engine.
