Yes , need help to find out why the oil pressure gauge goes to 60lbs as soon as the key is turned on and stays there till its turned off. So the oil psi really does not effect what it does. Its a electric gauge. I replace the gauge and same problem. Not sure what to do , any tips out there 1987 3/4 ton 350 eng. Thanks Roy
I have to guess bad connection - sender is bad or dirt is in the sender oil rush in jams the sender pressure reading up to high. Needs a sender the first is a easy fix move the spade around first tighen up if need or clean it and if that does not work. most times it the sender but could be the gauge. Oh another thing to check it that the wire from the sender in good shape no cuts in the cover the wire after meany years can start to corrode and be bad conncetion.
