OH...MY...GAWD. I just adjusted the valves according to the procedure outlined by Nate and available on Deve's most excellent website. first of all, it was easy as pie...peach pie...my favorite...yum. Second of all...the engine runs like a part of the female anatomy I am particularly fond of. I can't BELIEVE how much better it runs. Really!!! I mean, it ran really good BEFORE I adjusted the valves, but it just runs FANTASTIC now. I'm telling you guys, this truck is gonna be my daily driver in dry weather it runs so good. Nate, your knowledge and wisdom astound me. WE...ARE...NOT...WORTHY (but nonetheless extremely thankful and appreciative). Andy
For crying out loud son, show some emotion! You don't seem that pleased! Feels good when something works out, huh? And you are correct when you said "Nate, we're not worthy".
We're Not Worthy Ken, We're not worhty of YOU either. Your computer savvy and unlimited supply of web resources have helped all of us beyond measure as well. Kudos and mucho appreciation to you as well, my friend. Andy
Tolja So ! Tolja So ! ....I worked one once doncha' see . So now go set the dwell and ignition timing so it lights off on a 1/4 turn of the crank and astound yourself with how well one of these old tech design engines really runs... Once you've done yours to run sweet , you'll begin to save old crappy engines with only 65 # in three cylinders and make everyone think you're a magician..... really ~ you can save lots of old trucks bought by folks who'd ruin them by taking apart instead of having a running driving hobby truck to wheeze down to the dump once a month and the ice cream shoppe on sundays.....full of happy kids of course , that's the very best part = intoducing kids to happy fun times in the slow lane Keep up the good work . BTW : thanx for the Kudos ! tis' I who's not worthy of having such good freinds as you alls .
