I have a 1966 chevy truck and will be using 71-87 spindles. I need to know if a 6 lug rotor from a 1988-1989 c2500 would fit. I am a bean counter by profession and not a mechanic. They appear to use the same bearings on the 71-87 heavy duty and on the 1988-1989 c2500 light duty. I will try to use 2005 astro rotors on the back and have the axle hat machined to fit. If this will work modern wheels of various sizes could be used. Thanks.

CCP and Early Classics make a 6 lug rotor that fits 87 and earlier spindles.

Doing the same thing w/ my 65. Going w/ Early Classics for the rotors in front. Having to use 71-87 tie rod ends as well since my old 65 ends are not long enough for the bolt to go through the spindle arm. A question for you guys--will the 71-87 inner tie rod end fit through my 65 tie rod? I tried to match 87 outer to 65 inner but the adjustment sleeve was too small for the 87. If I go w/ 87 inner will the bolt fit through-it looks bigger than my old one? What's the best approach? Thanks, Matt.

THIS is ! EC's conversion kit. No need to play around with tie-rod ends. Kit uses period correct centerlink.

I would like to know the same thing. Unfortunately I can't afford the upgrade kit from ECE but I have access to tonns of cheap (free) stuff from the 80's pick ups.
Everbody says 71-87 spindles will fit onto 60's trucks what ball joints & tie rod ends are needed and will c2500 6 lug rotors fit these spindles??

easy way to get 5 lug disks is just to swap the entire front cross member from a 73-87 truck 0r 73-91 blazer/suburban. there are 14 holes that join the frame and front suspension. 12 of them will already line up on your 60-66 2 will need to be reemed out. other than that use the master cylinder and booster from the donor truck and bam your done!
