I ordered my tires from DB today and what a pleasureable experience that was!

These guys are awesome! I guess it is because they are from the south, but James and I shot the bull more than we did business. "No pressure", I had to remind him that I wanted the road hazzard ins!:D

I did not know, until today, that they make their own tires. 3 week turn around, but that's cool! I can wait 3 weeks for 3" wide whitewalls:cool:

I'm pumped right now (can you tell?). Price was very competitive, shipping was the best I've seen. I'll tell you in 3 weeks just how juiced I am about these tires! Stay tuned!

    Good Deal !

They made my '49 handle like a sportscar ! :)

Well , maybe not but that's what one fellow asked me after trying to keep up with me on a twisty mountain road :D

They look good and have great traction & wear , remember : when cleaning the witewalls , USE COMET , BON - AMI etc. , NEVER any typ of tire or rubber dressing ! .

I keep a dedicated sponge for this as I don't want abrasive cleanser touching anything else I clean .

    Ken,

What diameter tires and which rear gear are your going to finish up your truck with?

The wides whites will look great with the aggie paint!

    Nice!

    Gig 'em!

Yeah, had to have the wide whites so that all my Aggie buddies would like my truck.;) I'm going with 15" tires, and, at least for the time being, the original 4.11 rear. I do plan to throw in a 3.55 one of these days as well as update the hucks to bendix.

Priority 1 is to git-r-done and down here where it belongs!

The tour was great. Bill gave us the complete run down on the process. I took lots of pictures and will post the tour soon. The info will convince you even more...if you weren't already....that they are the way to go. I even tried to get him to trade in my Cokers, but he said they could only throw them in the dumpster for me........

I'm going to have to park in the opposite end of the lot at the Klein Shine so my truck won't look like such a beater.

    Be- utifull!

    Love it Ken!
More than that, I'm happy for you!
It'll take me longer than you to get to the finish line, but I'll get there.
Sorry~ I'm not going to rush this. Between sanding and painting, I've got a state record bass to catch and a daughter to love on, and~ hell! A guitar to play! Oh crap. Then there's that honey-do list because I wasn't smart enough to say I can't do it! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
