I AHVE A 64 CHEVY 283 C-10 CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME ADVISE ON HOW TO FIND OUT WHAT THE ORIGINAL ENGINE COLOR WAS.

Speedball from the forum has some pic's of his truck I looked and his engine looks green. I have a '65 C-10 I restored last year with the original 283 still in it. It was a low miles truck and still had the factory chalk marks on the block and heads. The engine is gray. I'm not sure about '64, but I'm positive that '65 and '66 V-8's were gray.According to a '65 manual : 230 L-6.....blue 292 L-6.....green 283 V-8.....gray Joshua
