Just ordered and received some patch panels for the cab and they are black in color. Is this a primmer, can I weld thru it, do I need to remove it to spray 2K epoxy primmer? By the way, the pannels look great and I can hardly wait to install them.

i forgot what kind of primer its called but it is a primer like coating. to weld you have to remove it were you are welding. to spray your epoxy primer on it you have to skuff it with at least 400 sand paper. i use 320 paper on my parts. if you dont sand it the primer, sealer, paint and clear (if you use clear) will not stay very long.
