Back from a test trip with my new tank and found a phenomen. After i drove 30mi, the engine noise are very quiet, hear no valve by 3rd gear and 1200 RPM.
If i start the engine normally i can hear valves by this RPM's. The same quiet drive i have if i fill few oil in and drive.
Oil line too small in the engine???

Have oil pressure over 30psi, engine rebuild 2.000 mi ago and runs normally very good.

    But what's the reason??

    Valve Train Noise

Not sure but for what it's worth , the valve gaps close up as the engine warms up ~ this is why it's so important to adjust them with the engine at full operating temperature .

My old '46 3100 was so noisy at road speeds I simply could not hear the engine over the wind , tires and body vibrations etc.

Are you running mufflers ? .
