I got a new set of Accel plug wires today. I tried following the instructions on how to assemble the wires, but I'm having a little trouble. The instructions say, put the but on the wire, and slide the wire all the way through the boot. I can't get the wire to go through the bend. I was hoping some of you old veterans can help me with some tricks you guys may have.

OLD veteran?? He MUST be talkin to me.....

    Hi AC,

I went throught the entire cuss word dictionary doing the same wires on the Chevelle. Best I can tell ya, ya yung wipper snapper,,, Paaaaa-tooooie !, Is to smear a bit of Vasaline on the wires far enough to where they get the boot out of the way, THEN, crimp the ends on and slide the boot back down. Wipe them down and you should be good to go.

Gotta go... My lumbago is actin up and time for a change of "Depends"..
    ;)

A little spit goes a long way. Put a little spit in the boot and slid the wire through. After a couple minutes it will dry and leave no residue.}>
