[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-15-05 AT 05:43 PM (CST)]Has anybody found a good chrome polish to renew old trim? I am not sure if the '66 has an aluminum or plated chrome trim on it. Probably not plated because I have no pitting or rust. Maybe someone can confirm that for me. Also, how can I safely remove paint from it? The truck was repainted once a long time ago and they didn't mask off very well.

I like Mother's and a Dremel to polish up trim. Works GREAT !

For paint on trim, Mask the painted surounding areas and use Acitone on a paper towl. It evorates VERY fast, so you need to work with a small amount of acitone in small areas quickly.

Thanks DV. I didn't think about using my dremel. That metal is aluminum isn't it?
