Anyone use this product to repair your floor plans? I ran across a couple of guys who said they used this to repair their floor pans. They advised the product hardened up like steel and then they put the high gloss finish on it. They adivse they put duct tape on the bottom side and painted it on. After it dried and hardened they remove the tape and put it on the other side. They said it work great. Can anyone back this up?

POR-15 is a good product. It WILL inhibit the spread of rust. Eastwood also makes a product that can be applied right over rust. Not a lot of rust, mind you... Neither product will replace the structural integrity of metal that has rotted. They are designed to "inhibit" the further spread of rust.
