Up for sale is a bracket set (and power steering pump w/ pulley if wanted) to add power steering to a 216 or early 235 inline 6's. This set mounts a late model GM "canned ham" style power steering pump in the location of the generator and positions the alternator directly above it. It may be possible that the generator can be used, but I can't confirm as I don't have a stock intake manifold so Im unsure of the clearances.

This set was my first design, and though nothing major, I have made some changes to it, more so to the alternator bracket than the p/s pump bracket.

    Included in the set is
    - Power steering pump bracket w/ mounting hardware
    - Alternator bracket w/ mounting hardware
    - Belt adjuster brackets w/ hardware
    - 2 head bolt studs (required to mount the alternator bracket)

Some pictures of what is included in the set:

This setup only requires a 1 groove crank pulley, but requires the power steering pump to have a 2 groove pulley. The main belt goes around the crank pulley, water pump/fan pulley and the p/s pump pulley. A second smaller belt drives the alternator off of the 2nd groove on the p/s pump pulley. You first adjust the belt tension on the main belt and then the tension on the alternator belt. I so far have had no problems with belt slippage.

Because this is my first design and I have made some adjustments, Im asking $80 for the set. $40 for the p/s pump and alternator brackets and $4o for the belt adjusters (I will have to have a set cut out and 40 is how much it costs to do so).

My new updated set goes for $140. I have a somewhat local place laser cut the pieces out, ship them to me and then I assemble and mig weld them together at home. Its cheaper and less chance for errors that way. No one knows better of how they are suppose to go together than the person who designed them.

I also have a spare used power steering pump with a dual groove pulley that I will sell for $30. Its the same type of pump Im using on my 54 235.

Contact me through private message and I will provide you my email and phone number.

Thanks! Sorry for the lenghty post just want to make sure I cover all bases.
