I have a 61 suburban and I'm considering power steering. I have some concerns.
At this time the stock inline 6 is in the truck and I'm eventually planning on swapping it out with a crate motor in a year or so. Does it matter what engine configuration you have to put a power steering kit on? Will any of the power steering kits fit no matter what engine configuration you have?

    Thank you..

The only thing you have to watch is that it is set up for your water pump size (short or long).

The hard part will probably be finding PS pump brackets for your six cyllinder. Other than that you are golden. My guess is that most kits you buy will be for SBC- not the inline six. I would search for a kit that includes the pump brackets for your engine!
