Looking at the Truck and Car Shop (Orange California) catalog and several parts are "manufactured by Counterpart". What does that mean and is there any feedback on their quality of parts and service. Thanks Doug.
Counterpart is the licensed chevy repro parts, they are the retail side of it. Their parts are what most parts dealers carry and are generally of good quality. I just picked up a bunch of parts this weekend from them at the Autofair in Charlotte for friend's 48 towtruck. They are a good group, I have had good customer service. They are like the Dennis Carpenter (Ford parts) of the Chevy world.
Counterpart Some of the patch panels sold by our host here are made by counterpart. The ones I've puchased seem to be acceptable, however, most new parts made overseas today might need a little "tweeking". I've recently purchased several cab parts made by Dynacorn,(also sold by our host) and they fit very well. Dynacorn Industries is the manufacturer of the complete new cab assemblys for '47- '54 Chevy trucks. Our host, as far as I know, does not sell complete cabs. They (Dynacorn) also make lots of muscle car parts including complete bodies. The inner cowl panels and inner to outer cowl panels I purchased here are made by Counterpart.
Counterpart! Its a serious and good compagny selling good quality parts , they have new rear fenders for the 54 (spare tire cut ) others dont sell. Its not allways easy to make contact through e.mail with there customer service but phoning them goes fine. Martinius.
Like most all parts today, they come off the china clipper. Truckshop/carshop will accept returns no questions asked. They like feedback, but for me they have taken back everything I have returned with paperwork for full price, the times i have forgotten the paperwork they have returned most all even if it was bought a year or so before. Great People to do business with as are our Host for Me.
