Looking pretty good. Unfortunately, floors usually include corners, kick panels, the "C" channels in between, and the inner layer where the floor and corners come together.

    welding...

That is something I hope to learn how to do someday. Looks like you have it going on! It may be a PITA, but the results look like something that will last for another 70+ years! I can't wait to see how it turns out for you!

Zig, mig welding is easy. Get something like the Lincoln Pro Mig 140, grab a few pieces of iron, and try it out. A neighbor found a video on you tube and tried mine out, he actually did pretty well.

    True that!!!

I grew up learning how to weld with high amperage/high heat on structural steel beams and such. I was very afraid of the transition to mig welding due to the relatively thin pieces that body panels are, but it truely is easy to learn. Don't be so afraid. Get a welder like Russ says and give it a whirl. By the way your work looks, I am certain you can do it.

    almost done!

I had friday off so I spent all day working on the 49 and got a lot done! I just have a few pin holes to fix under the seat and a lot of dents to pound out then I can start primeing/block sanding. What do you guys think so far? this is the first time that I have ever done body work and welding sheet metal so I am learing a lot.

    Thanks Jesse

Thanks for the pictures. You make it look easy. I wish the guy who put a patch panel in mine did as well as you.
