propeller shaft brake question

    Looks worn from years of use. Not sure though as I don't have that type of brake in my truck. Bigger bolt guys have to chime in on this one.

    Well ;

    They ran it down to the rivets but that's O.K. as it's just a parking brake and NOT an ' emergency brake ' as you'll discover if you ever try to stop a moving , loaded truck with it.... :eek:

    Most older brake jobbers or machine shops will have the lining and can re-line your old parkbrake band or exchange it .

    Remember to pay close attantion to the spring loaded adjustment 180° away from the pinching clamp and adjust it for equal clearance all the way around the drum , failure to do so is the oprimary cause of drums worn like yours...
