    Hello,
how could I get off the knop from the head light switch?
And another question, can I take a 6V switch for a 12V system?

    Wolfgang.

Are you tryung to get the knob itself off the shaft, or the whole shaft out of the switch? As far as a 6v switch goes, I'm using an original (6v) switch in my '49 which is 12v now. Been doing it for 12 years now, and have never had a problem.

    Knob and shaft

There is a very small button on one side near the rear of the switch. Depress that and pull the knob. It will come out of the switch.

you have to have the switch in the headlights on position for the little button on the bottom of the switch to work.
