For my 70' i got the power steering parts. When i put the pump in the pullleys didnt line up. It looks like im gonna need a 4-grove pulley but i cant find those anywhere. Is there a way that i can put 2 pulleys together to solve the problem?....help please

    Thanx,

    Jeff,

If it's that far off something's wrong. Your pulleys and brackets must be mismatched or something is installed wrong. Did all of your p/s pieces come off of the same engine?

I just put power steering in my 72. It has a 307 and I had to rob the pulleys off another 72 with a 307 before the pulleys would line up. My problem was the power steering pump wasnt in line with the crank pulley.
    Good luck:)

It sounds like you have the pump bracket for a short water pump motor, but you have a long style water pump. ( Or visa versa..)

All you should need is a three slot crank pully no matter which style water pump you have, but all the pullys are specific to what ever water pump, long or short. So you need to make sure that you have the correct power steering bracket for the style of water pump you have now.

The only other alternative is to swap to a different style water pump and all the pullys to match the power steering pump bracket.
