Question on updating a 65 front bra

Hi again everyone..

Thanks for all the help on rebuilding my 65..

I have a chance to get a complete front end off a 1971 c20 8 lug Chevy Truck to update my front drum brakes. I noticed in the Chevy Duty store, they sell the conversion kit to use the more common 73 to I think 87 front brakes.

Question: Are the 71/72 front disk brakes worth using or should I keep looking for a 73 and above? I already checked and I can get rotors and calipers for the 71.

Any opinions?
