I have a 54 3100 without a radio. Not a big fan of putting a $500 radio in her, as it would rarely get used, and I could hide one for a lot less. Went to the Lambrect auction this weekend and saw a bunch of them with these cover plates. Looked around, and I cannot find one anywhere! Any help or ideas? Also, Any idea where I can find some similar fabric to the original seat covers? Something like in the picture?
You are looking for a "radio delete plate" They are on ebay all the time. You need one for 54 or 55 1st so watch that. SMS Fabrics should have the material for the seats...hope this helps you out. BTW, if you ever run across anyone that has an extra radio speaker mount plate for the 54 radio, keep me in mind. Mine got misplaced over many years and a few moves.
