    What's the deal here ? they're in a different place on the block of my 292 than they are on the old 250 .

    Anyone ? .

    I remember reading that it was how to determine the 292 from the other straight sixes. The 292 has offset mounts because it uses one V8 mount and one I6 mount; not sure why.

    I see many have looked but no one else has chimed in ~ I expected this to be a simple thing , maybe not .

    If I could get some photos (HINT) maybe I could know what to look for in the junkyards & swap meets .

    I replaced the 216 with a 250 ,had to fab the motor mount bracket and used a Pont. Bonneville V8 motor mount.
