i cant really pinpoint what this is... i'll be driving my truck, and every once in awhile there will be this really loud bang, its metal on metal, right behind the cab and underneath the truck, i keep looking at the frame but i'm not seeing anything... any ideas?
Carrier Bearing ? Do you have a two piece drive shaft ? Could it be that empty keg rolling around in the bed ? DVal
or low grease (if any) in the rearend- when they get low and dry they will pop or actually blow up the gears inside- not a pretty sight! You may want to take a look at that, the gears will fracture then break. Jesse Hazell Chevy Duty Tech.
