All I can find for rear bumpers is the chrome (or non chrome) "factory" bumpers. Where can I get the "step" bumpers that were HEAVY duty. Every 60-66 truck out here sports one of these but folks aint really ready to part with them, beside, I would like a "new" one. Were these factory or what the heck?

Those were dealer installed bumpers and not factory.

The dealers got them from somewhere, where?
You know the type, had three holes drilled in the "step" portion of the bumper to install trailer balls.

    Thanks

I wasnt alive in the 60's to tell you were the dealers were getting them. Im sure there sources dont produce them anymore. Gonna have to hit the yards.

If you lived closer id sell you one for a few bucks, i have a few sitting around, one i cut up and used for scrap metal to weld to other projects. the shipping would be hell from me to you.

Just curious, ever see any aliens? :p

I won't comment on the "alive" bit. Did you ever watch "3rd rock from the sun? Well, [I]we[I]had it taken off the air, they were getting just a little to close for comfort. Know what I mean Vern?
