Hi all,

Can monoleaf springs be rearched? I have a set of 4" drop rear monoleaf springs and I'm afraid that might lower the back too much.

Thanks guys...

Chebby, since no one else is responding, I'll chime in. I have never heard of rearching a monoleaf. They are usually used for a specific purpose, such as lowering. That doesn't mean it can't be done though. My first thought would be that the monoleafs are usually very flat. That being the case, if you arched them, they would basically get shorter eye to eye. I could see where that may cause a problem with the shackle position. I think I would try to send off an email to Eaton Springs, or call Mor-drop, and ask them what they think.....Mike
P.S. Are you planning on lowering the front?

yes, you can re-arch the springs, there is a business in Waco Texas and I am sure in other places where they do this. When I lived in Waco 15 years ago I worked with a man who had his done on a mustang. They did a great job putting back the factory arch. Since it was back to standards there was no problem with the fit, but he did rebuild the shackles.

The Boops dad :)
