I'm restoring a 1985 C20 8" Stepside. This is my first project with Chevy. I have questions that I thought you might be able to help me with. I have a 305 engine on. It works fine but to make it have a longer life, should I rebuilt it or put a new one since the price difference is almost the same.? Also, What else should I rebuit? Carb, Tran...etc
How do you define restoring? Numers on a "restored" vehicle should match. However on a nice driver it really doesnt matter. I would go new. I install alot of both and have never had to warranty a goodwrench motor.
