I got my cab back from the body man a few days ago. Five men set it on the trailer at his shop. I was worried about getting it off the trailer once at home and onto the chassis without damaging it. With the help of a friend, this was how we did it. You might know, the wind kicked up to about 20 mph within a minute after getting it off the trailer! The cab was spinning like a top and my "pucker factor" went off the scale. It all worked out though...whew!

Thanks for posting and letting use live vicariously through your experiences.

    Lookin' good!

    Questions:

1.0 Are you planning a two tone: red truck with a white roof?

    2.0 Stepside or Fleetside?

It's a 66 short fleetside. Currently, the plan is to do it red with a bone white top and the same white between the side trim. You may be able to tell from the photos that the floor, under the dash, and behind the seat, are done in low profile bed-liner. I plan to do the entire inner bed, as well as the new steel bed strips with the same bed-liner. I have oak planks that were stained from sitting in a leaky shed for about 10 years. The PO never installed them. I will stain and seal them as best I can. This truck will be a daily driver and the bed will be used a lot. Because of money constraints, I will drive it in primer for a year or so. The interior is completely painted and I will finish the interior before doing the outside paint.
