remove 4x4

I have a 76 stepside with 454,is a 454 a big deal in a stepside. The cab is shot, the bed is rotted,I don't what to do. I really like this body style ,I can find four wheel drive trucks in these years. I don't won't four wheel drive truck. any ideas rusty 76

Buy the 4X4 and swap the bodies. After you are done, sell the 4X4 chassis to get some of your money back.
