Replace or reuse original bolts?

What is the advice on replacing old original bolts as you do your rebuild? Is the strenghth of old bolts compromised by some rust?
Are the grade 8's found at hardware stores strong enough? I am working on my rear suspension right now(coil spring, shock, trailing arm bolts).

Always a good habit to replace 35 year old hardware. By all means, replace over reuse.

Grade 8 from anywhere is ok...
