I am replacing the Oak boards in my '81 short narrow bed and I have run into a problem. All the bolts along the side angles are spot welded in place from the factory it seeems. If anyone hs replaced their wood bed please let me know how you got around this. Since they are flat heads I was thinking of drilling through the heads and just pacing the carriage bolts right through the old heads. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

Just completely unbolt each side and replace the board.
