This week is a big deal for me. I will retire at age 63. I have a long bucket list to enjoy around the house and with my bride.

I have several long term maintenance issues with my 54 Chevy 3100, but I am looking forward to tooling around in the truck a bunch.

I plan to rely on advice from you all to get Thunder all tuned and zoomed.

This message is official notice to each of you. My bride coined this chatter site "truck porn" over a decade ago. Time flies.

    Regards,
    Jim

    Congratulations, Jim!!!

I look forward to retiring as well, for the same reasons!

Every summer lets me know just how much I will love retiring!

Good luck with your list, and please be sure to be on here more often...

    with photo updates!

Congratulations Jim! Im sure you'll enjoy every minute being retired. Maybe do a little fishin' down there in Port Arthur? If you make it to the north of Houston, give me and Bill Hanlon a shout and we'll find a way to get together! Bill B.

    On my list

Thanks for the responses guys. I hav met Kens50, spoken with him a few times.

He inspected my truck in Liberty right after I had put it together. I believe we should kick around getting together sometime. Fishing of some kind is almost always good in Port Arthur.

I have enjoyed reading all of you for years off and on.

    Jim

Well, you've been there, done that, and now are driving a beautiful ride. You have ideas to toss out there on this site, so I'm glad you haven't vanished like so many I have come to know over the years.

Please give us some pictures of the fish you all catch and the places you go with that beautiful truck of yours!

    Congrats

I have been fully retired for a couple of years and the biggest challenge is which toy/project do I want to play with each day. In the Navy we had a saying Work hard, play hard" Time to play hard!

    Denis,

This is likely very sound advice. I am off now and just trying to organize my priorities so I can play everyday.
