    I just came back from a shakedown trip to Queen Creek , Az. in my '76 Jimmy

    Not surprisingly , the 292 C.I. InLine 6 Banger engine purred right along the whole way there and home again , never needing more than 1/3 throttle ,even on those steep assed mountain passes where we whizzed past all the Semis and most of the other traffic too .

    It returned 15 MPG's , I'm well pleased with that as am I with all those factory gauges I added , they all work *perfectly* (of course) ~ even the (late production , Quartz) clock keeps perfect time .

    The Desert is all abloom with greenery right now , very beautiful .

    Well ;

    See : I was driving and my brother was riding shotgun and whining about the huge box of cheese & jerky he'd brought along , he was supposed to take pix but instead he whined all the way there and back again.... :( .

    Of course , this allowed me to eat most of his share of jerky & cheese plus other munchies :D .

    Sorry about that , I really do need to take some snaps of the dashboard , it's still not quite finished , I have a couple more parts I want to change first .
