I recently cleaned carb and did a rebuild. I have a 54 235 cI and rochester carb. Set float based on specs in rebuild kit Adjusted f/a and idle. I adjusted choke to full close and open with cable. The tailpipe is black from carbon--ie too rich. Getting ready to pull carb again and recheck things. ( gasket on intake and float settings). Anything else that I should check while in there?
