    We have had two trucks ( 53 & 50) that have rusted out areas on the frame. One is on the left rail by the front spring hanger and the other is by the spring hanger on both sides. Is this a common malady for these trucks? This may be common but just never run into it before and we've done quite a few of the AD trucks. Of course in this area we pray to get enough rain to cause a little rust--especially this last summer. Just pickin your experience to see if it's common in snowy salty areas or if it was just a fluke. Thanks, Evan

    Evan ;
    Yes , it's very common , esp. in snow areas where they salt and the salty mud gets packed up and stays there untill late spring...

    We scrapped out SO many otherwise good trucks because of this when they had little value .
