Hi guys, just wanted to wish you all a happy Christmas and a better new year. Hope the coming year is a better one than the last and things improve for you all. I know it's been tough recently and we should all have a little joy in our lives and our trucks are a good case of that, they keep a few oddballs from around the world united with one interest, these old jalopies! It's harmless and all good fun. So merry Christmas guys, get them on the road and enjoy life! And I wish you a healthy one too!
Neil, you gotta lot of catching up to do. Thanks to you, I now drive a vintage F&*d! I tried everything to get you to come out of the closet! Best to you and your family in 2012! I missed you! Ken
Over To The Dark Side..... Not to worry Neil ! I'm still wheezing down the road in a classic L6 powered Chevrolet . Ken'll come around , it's his family's truck and a real pip so we let this one time even slide .
Cannon fodder for ya! You bet i've still got the '50! Here's a link to my other pride and joy! https://talk.classicparts.com/showthread.php?t=15830
Neil, neither do I! My ultimate goal is to have 16" painted wire wheels as close as possible to the original ones, with original chrome hub caps w/ the Ford "V8" logo and beauty rings! I'm thinking I want the wheels powder coated a nice Corvette Red! If I do that, then I'm going with tall, skinny tires w/ wide whites! I'm also thinking about putting on lake pipes like dad had on it back in '58! Until then, I'm going drive the crap out of it and hope the "law" knows that Smitty's are noise abatement components! Ken
Re:Greetings Sorry I missed the Christmas wishes Neil. Hoping all the forum members have a great new year!
It's Rough Here in La La Land (home to Fruits , Nuts & Flakes) , the weather has been perfect , I didn't even need to zip up my leather jacket as I rode my Ural Solo sT in the pre dawn cool to the Antique Automobile Club's Holiday Motoring Tour this morning...... Lots of Brass Era cars and other pre war cars & trucks to look at , a few Indian and Harley Davidson Motos , a lone Pierce single chuffing around the parking lot , two owners , one family , as I like to say : it's only original once . Then I hopped into my new (old) '69 C/10 and rattled it across town , looking at the Tourists & folks getting set up for to - night's debauchery along the Rose Parade Route , Colorado Boulevard , I had the vents open , elbow out the window , oldies playing on the radio , whew ~ as I said : it's so rough out here.... . HAPPY NEW YEARS !!!!!!
