Can I use seat tracks from another gm vehicle for the same year (i.e. Nova) or do I have to use seat tracks made for my c10 truck?

tracks are tracks are tracks. What really matters is the track mounting to the floor. Think of the force the seat will go through on a rear or head on collision. Remember you going to strapped to this seat. So re drilling and anchoring the seat down to bare sheet metal is not a good idea. Reinforce the area with a strap of metal going back and forth to the front and rear.

If you have a bench seat, and need the track, I have a bench seat you can have. The upholstery is garbage, but the track/ springs are still pretty good. PM me if you want it; if I don't get any responses soon it's going to the dump.
