Well guys, got it running today, but could use some help, my truck is a 1987 gmc stepside v6 with a three speed (muncie tranny)on the tree steering column. Well the problem I have is, the shift linkage on the column is broke.I need some help on locating another or steps on replacing it with one from a different model. I am unsure on what year or model to use or what will fit in my truck. I tried a column out of a 1979 chevy,but the internals and wiring are different and it did not work. Please can anyone help.
You need to use steering column With all the same option that your column has for 84-87-89 for sure the 84-87 ie: option: tilt, highbeam, cruse,auto or manual, delay wipers.
