[updated:LAST EDITED ON Oct-22-02 AT 03:11 PM (CST)]Anyone one have any good hints, tips or tricks to get your shifter arms from rattling? I still have three in the tree and would like to keep it that way. Here's just a quick run down of all that I have done to the steering/shifter and clutch. Replaced the steering box, totally rebuilt the column and shifter arms. Rebuilt the bell crank/clutch crank thingy. Replaced several shifter arm/rod bushings and pins (I thought that would do the trick). There still seems to be some vibrations coming from the trany which causes the rod coming off the bell crank into the cab and then to the clutch pedal (get all that?) I thought about using some sort of metal tape on the ends of the rods where they fit into the hole of another rod, that might cushion the noise somewhat. Any of you guys out there pulled any slick moves to get rid of that God forsaken noise, and please don't say to put the shifter in the floor. Thanks..........
