ok, I have 2 trucks,81 1/2ton long bed 350 auto 4X4, and a 78 3/4ton long bed 400auto 4X4. Im thinking of taking the body off the 78 and putting the 81 body on to it, I love the body line of the 81 over the 78. the Q is will the body mounts and everything match up or will it take 10 years to make everything line-up? }>

They should match up fine, but I'd leave the 78 body on there, I think that the 81-82 grille isn't that pretty but that's just me. Those 70's front ends look pretty sharp I think.

Everything should line up. i like the 70's grill better too.

If ya realy whant to do it I,d just take the fenders hood and front clip and swap em to the '78,I like the '73-'80 front clip alot better to.
