I am finally putting radials on my 53. After reading the archives here and talking with both Coker and Diamondback, I have decided to go with Diamondback. One question came up though when I started to order the tires. The salesman wanted me to measure the indent for my side mounted spare as he said he didn't think the radial would fit. Have any of you with the side mount spare had a problem with fitting a radial there? I am using the original 16" rims and going with 215/85 R16 radials.

    Dang !

..Here it is , years later and I still haven't put on my sidemount spare fender and support....

Sorry I cannot answer this but I'd think it'll be fine , of not use some flat washers to shim the tire out away from the bed a little bit .

A 215/75 R15 fits but it is close. The 16 may take a spacer as Nate said.
